Credentia Construction constructed a new shopping village in the Mandurah suburb of Dawesville. The project included the construction of a 3580 m2 Coles supermarket, a 150 m2 Liquorland, approximately 580 m2 of specialty tenancies, forward works for childcare and a gym pad site, as well as car parking, sub-station, service amenities and landscaping.

Undertaking a component of the external roadworks civil works adjacent to a live roadway meant that full-time traffic management and supervision was required throughout construction at various stages. The construction of the building was comprised of tilt-up concrete panels and structural steel, and also comprised of an un-rumbled red face-brick. This brick-facade was complemented by an open atrium space with red-louvre screening in the signature Coles Red. Exposed pre-cast faces included a feature “wave” pattern drawing connection to Florida Beach, which was comprised of Duragrove FC sheeting and a Granosite texture which was blended with an aggregate mix to give it a beach sand effect.

External pathways showcase exposed aggregate concrete pathways in a waved pattern in two colours, with bare-finish reinforced concrete planter boxes that incorporate bench seating incorporated into the design.
