Demolition of an existing 5000m2 shed & office building and the new build of a 7000m2 medical laboratory facility for Clinipath Pathology.
The works consisted of steel frame and concrete slab construction including a 1500m2 mezzanine deck. The exterior to the superstructure consists of precast concrete dado panels with cladding above to a height of 8m. The building has a saw-tooth roof-integrated into the design to accommodate the lighting required by the medical teams.
The HVAC package incorporated 2 external plant platforms with louvred enclosures. These platforms accommodate both the traditional mechanical services and specialist ventilation and extraction flues required for the medical facilities.
All other services including an extensive an electrical package, new fire ring main and fire tanks, back-up generators for a UPS system and general hydraulics were also carried out as Design & Construct. Credentia also carried out the full fit‐out of all laboratories and admin areas including FFE work. Civil and landscape works to the external also provided car parking for up to 350 cars.
After the project’s completion, Credentia Construction was awarded the “Best New Builder” at the 2014 Master Builder Association Awards.
