As part of the multi-billion-dollar Belmont Park Redevelopment, Credentia Construction were tasked with the Design and Construct of a cutting-edge racehorse stabling facility at Belmont Park Racecourse. The Project consisted of 120 horse stalls complete with sample room, swab boxes, eight wash bay areas, amenities areas and managers office.
A stand-alone 1700m2 steel/colourbond maintenance shed and fenced compound consisting of an engineered hardstand, breakout and amenities areas for the Perth Racing turf team located in the area within the race track adjacent the existing and new Bio retention Basins was also part of the brief.
Key components of the project include;
-3.3m high pre-cast concrete panels with a feature exposed aggregate strike pattern integrated along the southern facade.
-1.2m high concrete filled block walls lined with 8mm Regupol rubber to all faces and capped with a sealed Kapur top.
– Fielders “Freeform” roof to suit the curved radius of the structure.
-Landscaping comprising of a newly turfed area with new vegetation and Bioretention Area (BRA) with subsoil drainage throughout.
– Exposed galvanized finished structural steel throughout.
-Non-combustible aluminium composite “Ultrawood” cladding to radius walls on Western and Eastern facades.
-Civil hardstand complete with civil drainage for horse float set down and parking arrangements.
– 80-meter fully fenced and gated horse run for access to and from horse stables to trackside.
-A public viewing area adjacent to the new exercise ring for owners and the public to view horses before races
